Paper Title
Urban Traffic Noise Analysis and Real-Time Environmental Monitoring With IEC 61672-Compliant A-Weighted Measurements

Abstract
With increasing traffic density and human activities in urban areas, environmental noise levels have risen significantly. According to the World Health Organization, prolonged exposure to high levels of noise can lead to permanent adverse effects on both physical and psychological health. In this study, a system based on A-weighted sound measurements compliant with the IEC 61672 standard was developed to enable real-time monitoring and analysis of noise pollution originating from urban traffic. The developed system can accurately detect environmental noise levels and automatically record instances where the noise threshold is exceeded. The collected data provide detailed analysis and reporting capabilities for local authorities to support decision-making processes related to environmental noise. Furthermore, this study introduces a novel approach that goes beyond existing noise monitoring methods in the literature, enabling effective identification of noise pollution in urban environments.
