Paper Title
Design, Analysis and Working of a Sun Tracking Photovoltaic System

Abstract
The increasing demand for energy, the continuous reduction in existing sources of fossil fuels and the growing concern regarding environmental pollution have pushed mankind to explore new technologies for the production of electrical energy using clean, renewable sources, such as solar energy, wind energy and biomass energy. For collecting solar energy, the fixed configuration of solar panels is used, which provides an efficiency of only about 22% (in best cases) and this too, is limited even further as the solar panels face the sun for only a limited amount of time per day. To improve this number and to increase the efficiency, a sun tracking solar panel has been designed. The dual axis-solar track circuit comprises of an ATMega328 microcontroller, two Servo motors and four Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs). A conventional fixed panel, which is tilted at an angle between 18 and 25 degrees, is then compared to the sun-tracking model and further analysis have been conducted. Keywords – Solar Panel, Sun Tracking, Dual axis, Light Dependent Resistors (LDRs).
