L-Model Management For Wireless Mesh Deployment

Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) has recently emerged as a cost-effective solution for the next generation of wireless networking. It has the potential to be widely deployed and widely used by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) worldwide. Unfortunately, current standards and protocols are severely inadequate to achieve the architectural design goals of wireless backbone multi-hop mesh networks because they do not meet evolving network performance and cost requirements. In this paper, a novel algorithm called “Zero-degree (L)” is proposed. Performance evaluation results using extensive simulations show that the proposed algorithm outperforms other algorithms by comparing the number of gateways needed in various scenarios.
