Comparative Study PMSM Speed Control Based on PI and PID Controllers, Self-Tuning Adaptive Fuzzy PID Controller

Abstract
Use of permeant magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is important for speed or torque control requirement in mind. In this paper, Comparative study among PI, PID and adaptive self-tuned fuzzy PID controllers have been presented. adaptive design method of self-tuning fuzzy PID controller is addressed, proposed and tested. Fuzzy logic has been used to tune the PID controller’s parameters. The proposed control schemes have been tested for different operating conditions. Performance analysis for PMSM operating condition has been presented for all the cases with and without control. Comparison has been done for different proposed controllers schemes with. The simulation studies for all cases have been presented to conclude the advantage and disadvantage of each case. The simulation results have proved that, adaptive self-tuning PID scheme has the best performance. Keywords - PMSM, Fuzzy Logic, Adaptive Control, Self-Tuning
