Paper Title
Train Collision Avoidance and Safety Monitoring System
Abstract
With train networks becoming more complicated and accidents on the rise, railway safety becomes more important than ever. A high-tech system for monitoring train safety & preventing collisions is being developed as part of this initiative to solve these problems. The system utilizes cutting-edge technology for offering train operations tracking and administration in real-time. Significant safety concerns for railway operations are the subject to this project's concentration upon the convergence of several trains at crucial places, including Y-junctions. The potential for three trains to collide while approaching and passing through a Y-junction around the same time is the focus of this investigation. Through studying the inner workings of train motions. A sensor module, a GPS module, an Arduino board, and an Internet of Things (IoT) module make up the project's architecture. Utilizing infrared and ultrasonic sensors, the measurement module can measure distances and identify impediments. In order to track in real-time, the GPS module gives location data. Trains and the command center may communicate wirelessly thanks to the Internet of Things module. Taken as a whole, this research highlights the difficulty of regulating train encounters at Y-junctions and provides practical suggestions for enhancing railway safety. Improved and safer railway networks are a result from the project's efforts to resolve these issues.
