Design and Implementation of a New Trans former less Bidirectional DC-DC Converter
Abstract
In this paper, a two-loop-based closed-loop voltage control strategy is proposed for a transformer less bidirectional buck-boost converter. The proposed control algorithm enables a stable closed-loop control of the output voltage with due consideration to maintaining the inductor current waveform within acceptable limits. By virtue of the circuit schematic, one can achieve a smooth current flow and voltage gain with less and balanced components. The proposed control scheme ensures fast dynamic response and well limited inductor current values during the buck and boost mode operation of the converter topology. The performance of the proposed control scheme is validated using Matlab/Simulink-based simulations. Keywords - DC/DC Converter, Current Limit Control, Voltage Gain, Renewable Energies, EV’s.
